DIY Independence Day Cupcakes!

I've always been a big fan of celebrating the holidays. Whether it be Halloween, Christmas, or even the 4th of July, I'm all over it! (Creatively that is).

A while back I posted a tutorial on how to make Tie-Dye Cupcakes courtesy of the Free People Blog. Well my friends I've decided to go out it again! Yet this time instead of neon colors, I stuck with, you guessed it! Green and Yellow! Haha Just joking. Red, white and blue all the way!

You can follow the steps here, and make your own, just substitute the colors and Voila! Perfect project for the Fourth! So wow your friends and whip up a batch for your 4th of July bbq!

Trending Tie-Dye Cupcakes

Multicolor is trending, so apparently my two toned hair color is in? Nah, just kidding.

Today I decided to give the tie-dye cupcake recipe a go. After seeing the recipe on the Free People Blog a few weeks back, I couldn't help but make them myself. And with my up and coming trip to DC to see my cousins, I thought why not cook up a batch to give to the little ones. I'm not going to lie, I slipped up on my diet and snuck one, or maybe two after I finished baking [hello treadmill] and they are simply amazing. The bright and vibrant color scheme truly makes the experience of indulging all that more fun. Seriously, what a great idea for this time of year!
